William Denham is a litigation lawyer practicing in our Ottawa office, known for his strategic thinking, clear communication, and collaborative approach to client service. His practice focuses on commercial litigation, corporate and commercial law, and dispute resolution, with additional experience in medical malpractice matters.

William has developed a strong litigation profile through his involvement in complex and strategically important matters. His experience includes acting as co‑counsel in a successful Norwich Order application, defending an Anti‑SLAPP motion under section 137.1 of the Courts of Justice Act, and serving as lead counsel on a successful application to release insurance funds. He has appeared before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and represents clients at all stages of litigation. He has conducted trials before the Small Claims Court and has assisted senior counsel on more complex matters before the Superior Court of Justice. These matters demonstrate his ability to combine legal precision with practical advocacy.

What distinguishes William is his commitment to a collaborative and transparent client experience. He views each client relationship as a partnership, placing a strong emphasis on open dialogue, responsiveness, and trust. By presenting clear options and explaining the risks and advantages of each approach, he ensures clients remain informed, engaged, and confident in the decisions they make.

William earned an Honours Bachelor of Social Sciences in Criminology and a Juris Doctor from the University of Ottawa’s Faculty of Law (French Common Law Section). He was called to the Ontario Bar in 2023 and practises in both English and French.
