Victoria S. Cormier is a lawyer in the Montreal office of Prelia, where her practice focuses on civil and commercial litigation, and real estate law. She is frequently retained to represent general contractors, property owners, and private lenders in various securities enforcement files. Having begun her career at Prelia as a summer student in 2022, Victoria quickly demonstrated her ability to manage complex files, both factually and legally. Her involvement in all stages of the legal process, from drafting pleadings to arguing cases before various courts, ensured that she vigorously defended her clients’ interests.


Prior to joining Prelia, Victoria studied law at the Université de Sherbrooke, where she was an active member of several student committees at the Faculty of Law, including the Access to Justice Committee and the SimONU Committee. Victoria co-authored the Université de Sherbrooke Faculty of Law’s brief in support of Bill 75 aimed to improve accessibility and efficiency in the justice system. Her thoroughness and advocacy skills were recognized during her time at the University when she and her colleague won the Best Advocacy Pair at the national Laskin Moot Court Competition. During her studies, Victoria also worked as a research assistant for the UN Global Compact, a United Nations initiative aimed at promoting the sustainable development of large corporations.
