Jean-Yves Simard

Jean-Yves Simard is a seasoned litigator who represents a business clientele before the courts in all types of commercial disputes and insolvency proceedings. These include shareholder remedy litigation, contractual disputes, enforcement of security, injunction and safeguard proceedings, as well as representing various stakeholders, creditors and debtors in insolvency proceedings as well as trustees, monitors and receivers.

In addition to being a frequently sought-after speaker, he has been a professor and author at the Quebec Bar School since 2005 and is also Past Chair (2020-2021) of the national Insolvency Law Section of the Canadian Bar Association of which he is still a member of the executive.
