Jacques S. Darche is a seasoned commercial litigation and international arbitration lawyer who, for over 30 years, has resolved and prevented complex commercial disputes where business strategy, international law, and reputational imperatives intersect. He notably holds the status of Chartered Arbitrator (C.Arb) conferred by the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) and sits on several international arbitration panels, including those of the ICDR and the CIArb.


Whether before Québec courts, in commercial arbitrations, or acting as an independent arbitrator or mediator, his practice covers notably shareholder disputes, franchising, real estate litigation, international commercial fraud, insolvency, and estate disputes. He also regularly handles matters involving constitutional rights and freedom of religion.


Member of the Québec Bar and of the Paris Bar, he is active in numerous arbitration and mediation organizations and teaches arbitration law. He has been the Honorary Consul of Finland for Montréal since 2018 and is recognized by Benchmark Litigation, Lexpert, and The Best Lawyers in Canada for his expertise in arbitration and litigation.
